Windows & Doors
Every brand. Every opening type. Replacement, new-construction, and full-frame installs — vinyl, fiberglass, wood-clad, and aluminum from every major manufacturer.
We install every brand on the market — and stand behind every install.
Whether you've already picked out the windows you want or you're starting from scratch, HyTech is a brand-agnostic installer. We work with Andersen, Pella, Marvin, Harvey, Jeld-Wen, ProVia, Therma-Tru, Simonton, and the rest of the major manufacturers — we'll help you pick the right product for your home, your budget, and your exposure, then install it to the manufacturer's exact specifications so the full warranty stays valid.
From single replacement-window swaps to whole-home window packages, custom entry doors, sliders, French doors, and code-required egress windows — we handle the measurement, the order, the installation, and the trim-out.
Every major window & door manufacturer
We don't push one brand because we get a kickback — we recommend what's right for your house, your climate exposure, and your budget.

Insert & full-frame replacement
Insert (pocket) replacement when your existing frames are sound — minimal trim disruption, fastest install, lowest cost. Full-frame replacement when frames are rotted, when you're changing window size, or when you want maximum glass area — we tear out the entire window assembly down to the rough opening and install the new unit with proper flashing, insulation, and trim.
- Double- & triple-pane low-E glass

Entry doors, sliders & French doors
From a single new front entry door to a wall of glass sliding patio doors or French doors opening to a new deck, we handle the install with the same attention to flashing, insulation, and trim that goes into our roofs. Fiberglass for energy efficiency, steel for security, wood for a classic look — and we install storm doors over any of them.
Doors we install
- Fiberglass entry doors (Therma-Tru, ProVia)
- Steel security entry doors
- Custom wood & mahogany entry doors
- Storm doors (Andersen, ProVia)
- Sliding patio doors (vinyl, fiberglass, wood-clad)
- French / hinged patio doors
- Multi-slide & pocket-glass walls
- Garage entry & mudroom doors
Where most contractors fail — flashing
Sill flashing first
Every rough opening gets self-adhered sill flashing with a back-dam before the window goes in — water that somehow gets behind the frame has to drain out, not into your wall.
Shimmed & squared
We shim every jamb at the manufacturer's specified points, check for square and plumb at every step, and only fasten through the spec'd locations — over-fastening warps the frame and voids the warranty.
Low-expansion foam
Window-and-door rated low-expansion foam in the rough-opening gap — never standard high-expansion (which bows frames out of square). Sealed at the perimeter with manufacturer-approved sealants.
Windows & Doors: common questions
Which window brands do you install on Cape Cod?
We recommend the brand that's right for your home, exposure, and budget — not whichever line gives us the biggest dealer kickback. Andersen 400 Series and Marvin Elevate are our most-installed premium wood-clad lines. Harvey Tribute is the favorite vinyl replacement window in New England. ProVia Endure is the premium fully-customizable option, and Therma-Tru Classic-Craft is our most-installed fiberglass entry door.
What's the difference between insert and full-frame window replacement?
Use full-frame when your existing frames show rot, when you're changing the window size, or when you want maximum glass area. Full-frame is more invasive (interior trim is replaced) but gives you a brand-new flashing detail and proper foam insulation at the perimeter — both of which matter long-term on Cape Cod's salt air and storm exposure.
Do you install hurricane-impact windows on Cape Cod?
Hurricane-impact glass uses two laminated panes bonded with a clear polymer interlayer that holds the glass together if struck by debris. It's required by Massachusetts code in WBDR areas for new construction; for existing homes it's optional but recommended for any home directly exposed to the Atlantic.
How long does a window replacement project take?
We typically replace 4–6 windows per day per crew. Custom-sized or hurricane-impact windows have a 6–10 week order lead time from the manufacturer; standard sizes are typically 3–4 weeks. We schedule the installation date once the windows are in our warehouse.
Do you handle exterior trim, interior trim, and painting?
For full-frame replacements we restore or replace the interior trim with primed material ready for paint (we don't paint the interior). For exterior, every window gets perimeter sealant in a color matched to your siding, and exposed exterior trim is repainted to match.
What's your warranty on window and door installations?
The manufacturer warranty only stays valid if the window is installed exactly to the manufacturer's specification — which is one of the main reasons we don't cut corners on flashing, shimming, fastener placement, or perimeter sealing.
