NorthGate ClimateFlex is the top tier — UL 2218 Class 4 impact, SBS rubberized asphalt that stays flexible in the cold. For coastal Cape Cod homes we recommend NorthGate ClimateFlex; for inland homes Landmark PRO is the sweet spot.

Which one should I pick?
- Inland Cape Cod, budget-conscious: Landmark. Lifetime warranty, 160 mph wind with the right starter strip, and a strong shingle for the money.
- Inland, higher wind exposure, longer algae coverage: Landmark PRO. Sweet spot for most year-round Cape homes — also qualifies for our Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee.
- Coastal, on-the-water, Outer Cape, hail/impact exposure: NorthGate ClimateFlex. The SBS rubberized asphalt and Class 4 impact rating are what handle salt air, freeze-thaw, and wind-driven debris. Often pays for itself through reduced insurance premiums.
